Commissioner arrested on DWI charge

An Alamo City Commissioner was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
Mayor Pro-Tem Eleazar Escobedo was allegedly driving along the frontage road when he accidentally hit a sign.
Police said he was stopped while walking home.
The judge who arraigned him said no other vehicles or people were involved in the incident.
Escobedo was issued a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
According to the city TMs website, Escobedo has been an Alamo Commissioner for 11 years.
