Confidential source leads to arrests at 8-liner

The owner of a Brownsville 8-liner and the manager are behind bars on several counts after they allegedly ran a gambling arcade out of a motel.
A confidential source tipped off the Cameron County District Attorney TMs Special Investigations Unit about the gambling establishment.
Owner Maria Elena Sanchez and manager Edgar Arellano allegedly paid out cash at the Rose Garden Motel to gambling patrons.
Sanchez and Arellano were booked on counts of gambling promotion, money laundering, possession of gambling devices and gambling.
They allegedly had 28 gambling machines inside the building.
The owner and manager TMs bonds were set at $5,000 for money laundering, $2,500 for gambling promo, $2,500 for possession of gambling devices, and $400 in bonds for gambling.
Sanchez TMs husband is allegedly a co-owner and is still at-large.
