Two employees with Hidalgo County Court at Law #5 are at the center of a bribery investigation.
Authorities arrested court coordinator Daniel Vega and assistant court coordinator Javier Mireles under bribery charges on Wednesday morning.
Investigators told Action 4 News case involves allegations the two were offered a $4,000 dollar bribe to dismiss a case.
Authorities did not give information as to who offered the bribe or what case it dealt with.
Both men faced a judge on Wednesday afternoon where they each received $75,000 dollar personal recognizance bonds.
FBI agents executed a search warrant at the Hidalgo County Courthouse on Wednesday morning.
Hidalgo County District Attorney Rene Guerra told Action 4 News investigators will hire an independent firm to go back and review cases going back to as long as 8 years ago.
