Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo undergoes surgery
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo underwent back surgery on Friday morning to repair a herniated disc.
Romo is resting in the hospital, but is expected to be released later today.
Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett says the successful procedure should have Romo ready to go for the 2014 season.
But Garrett also reported that Romo is "devastated" to be put on injured reserve and miss the regular season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
