Crackdown on prostitution ends with 10 arrests in McAllen


Some ten people are facing criminal charges following a two-day crackdown on prostitution in McAllen.

A prostituion sting on Wednesday ended with McAllen police arresting the following nine people:

Milo Rappe, 77, Mission Maximino Arvizu, 57, McAllen Filomeno Castillo Jr, 57, McAllen Raul Oloarte, 43, McAllen Edna Karina Gomez, 26, Pharr Fermin Delgadillo, 51, McAllen Valentina Casas, 31, McAllen Pedro Zeledon, 52, McAllen Alejandro Rodriguez, 67, McAllen

McAllen police also arrested 28-year-old Maria Angelica Perez 28 years for prostitution on Thursday morning.

Details about where the sting operation took place were not immediately available.

All ten were charged with Class B misdemeanor prostitution, a crime punishable up to six months in jail and/or a $2,000 fine.

Jail records show all ten received $2,000 bonds the prostitution charge. Police reported that Rodriguez was also arraigned for Class A misdemeanor unlawful carrying a weapon receiving an additional bond of $5,000 dollars.
