Cracker Barrel TMs Flips Up Breakfast on Sunrise

The kitchen is open at Cracker Barrel in Harlingen. It's the second Valley location for the region creating jobs and filling stomachs. This morning General Manager Sean McPhilamy and Retail Manager Sarah Loya cooked up some of their famous recipes. Cracker Barrel Apple Crisp:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place one jar Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Fried Apples or 6 cups peeled and sliced fresh apples in buttered 8- 9 pan.

Combine dry ingredients with cool or cold butter.

Mix with fork or fingers until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.

Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.

Bake 50-60 minutes or until topping is golden and juices from filling are bubbly.

Serve warm or room temperature topped with whipped cream or ice cream.

Makes 11 servings.

Cracker Barrel Pancakes:

Cooking Instructions:

1. Place all the water in a medium size bowl.

2. Add the dry pancake mix.

3. Using a wire whisk, mix well until blended.

4. Melt margarine on griddle, spoon pancake mix onto griddle and cook on medium heat (385 to 400 degrees) until golden brown on both sides.
