Crash victim TMs daughter speaks out
Another family is in mourning after losing their loved one in the fatal Highway 100 crash that claimed the lives of a family of 3 and their niece.
Tonight -- the daughter of Carmela Sanchez -- the passenger in the vehicle that collided with the family says her mom is as much a victim as everyone else who died.
The Santa Rosa woman worked as a nurse for a home health hospice out of Harlingen and family and friends say she would do anything for the people she loved -- even strangers.
The 43 year old woman was with Margaret Gil in a Toyota Rav4 on Highway 100 outside of Los Fresnos when they collided with a car holding a man, his wife, 3 year old daughter and 13 year old niece.
All 4 in the car died on impact, Sanchez passed away on the way to the hospital according to DPS and Gil is listed in stable condition in a San Antonio hospital.
Sanchez TMs daughter says her mom was a great person and should be remembered as such.
Services were held Thursday for Carmen Sanchez with her funeral set for Friday at 10am.
