Authorities are investigating why a cropdusting airplane had to make an emergency landing just south of Donna.
Law enforcement officials blocked off part of Lott Road just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The pilot reported that his small plane lost one of its two wheel and that he needed to make an emergency landing.
Authorities confirmed that the plane landed on a recently-tilled farm field and that the pilot got out safely.
Investigators said the pilot's private airfield is down the street from where he made the emergency landing.
The pilot is expected to move the plane from the farm field to the airstrip.
Action 4 News will provide more details as they become available.
