A McAllen man is behind bars after allegedly robbing a convenience store at knifepoint and fleeing with $141 dollars in cash.
McAllen police arrested Erasmo Guerra, Jr. on an aggravated robbery charge early Sunday morning.
The 26-year-old is accused of robbing a Stripes convenience store off North Bicentennial Boulevard and Hackberry Avenue.
Court records released to Action 4 News show that Guerra walked into the store wearing a hoodie and a ski mask.
Guerra allegedly drew a knife, demanded cash and fled the scene with $141 dollars.
Patrol officers saw Guerra outside a nearby apartment off North 16th Street and noticed he matched the description of the robbery suspect.
Guerra TMs father gave police permission to search the apartment where police allegedly found the hoodie, ski mask, knife and stolen cash.
The 26-year-old remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail under a $180,000 dollar bond.
