Deputies bust marijuana stash house near Laureles

Five people are facing criminal charges after finding more than 46 pounds of marijuana at a stash house north of the rural Cameron County community of Laureles.
Cameron County Sheriff TMs Department deputies arrested the four men and one woman under marijuana charges on Wednesday.
Court records released in their case show deputies received at tip about illegal activity at a home at 34105 Moon Bean Drive on Wednesday.
The home is located in a rural neighborhood off FM 1847 just north of Laureles.
All five suspects were outside. Deputies smelled marijuana in the air and found a lit cigar filled with marijuana on a picnic table.
A consent search of the home revealed 46.5 pounds of marijuana as well as a digital camera with pictures of the four male suspects posing with marijuana bundles.
The suspects were identified as:
Roy Miles Ford, 18 Roman Garcia, 20 Roque Garcia, 17 Randy Hernandez, 17 Maria Rita Moreno, 28
Court records show that Ford lived at the home.
All five suspects appeared before Cameron County Magistrate Judge Luis Saenz on Thursday where they were each issued $25,000 dollar bonds.
