Deputies: El Ranchito women beat boy, leave him bleeding

Two women are behind bars after they allegedly beat a boy and left him bleeding at a home in the rural community of El Ranchito.
Cameron County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested 66-year-old San Juanita Vallejo and 51-year-old Rosie Castaeda on injury to a child charges on Tuesday.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of child abuse but the two women are facing injury to a child charges following the alleged beating of a boy in their care.
It all happened at a home off Encantada Loop in the rural Cameron County community of El Ranchito.
Court records released on Thursday afternoon show the boy was measuring a TV remote control with a ruler when Vallejo told him to stop.
The boy didn't stop so she allegedly took the ruler from him and beat him with it until the ruler broke.
Castaeda allegedly entered the room during the beating and started slapping him back and forth across his face.
Deputies reported that the boy was left bleeding from his nose and that he was left with blood on his chest, stomach and pants.
Investigators reported that the boy's brother witnessed the beating and that the brother and had to leave the house because he was afraid.
Deputies reported finding the broken ruler in the trash and seized it as evidence in the alleged crime.
Both women appeared before a Cameron County Magistrate Court judge on Wednesday morning where they were each issued $10,000 dollar bonds.
