Deputies investigate three murders in two days in Hidalgo County

Authorities had a busy weekend in Hidalgo County where officials reported three murders had taken place in less than two days time.

The first murder happened around 11:50 p.m. Saturday.

Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies reported that 21-year-old Jose Manuel De Leon beat 45-year-old Vicente Guerrero to death using his bare fists.

De Leon is expected to be arraigned at the Hidalgo County Jail late Monday morning.

The second murder happened outside Palmview where 16-year-old Jonathan Ramos was run over outside a party around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that authorities have issued a murder warrant against 29-year-old Francisco Javier Gonzalez's for Romo's death.

The third murder took place north of Donna around 2 a.m. Monday.

Deputies reported that an unknown suspect or suspects shot at a mobile home off Goolie Road just south of El Dora Road.

Investigators told Action 4 News that neither the victim nor suspect has not been identified as of 11 a.m. Monday.
