Two prostitution suspects are facing criminal charges after they allegedly kidnapped and robbed a man who stiffed them on their payment.
Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies were called out to Business 83 and Schuerbach Road just outside Mission late Thursday night.
Deputies were called out to investigate a rape but quickly learned that the two women were not victims.
Investigators told Action 4 News that man had agreed to pay two teens women for sex.
The man did not pay them but the two women reacted by pulling out knives, overpowering him and tying him up with a belt and a scarf.
Deputies said the man managed to escape but the two women drove off in his car and attempted to report the whole thing as a rape.
The two women confessed to a pay for sex encounter and are expected to face a judge at the Hidalgo County Jail on Friday afternoon.
Deputies are trying to discover the identity of the individual that arranged the sexual encounter between the man and the two women.
Sheriff Lupe Trevio reported that deputies are now looking at how social media networks such as Facebook or Craig TMs List are being used as sex for pay sites.
Authorities said man involved could face also charges.
