Officials are trying to find a new home for a large alligator after neighbors found it in a rural area just outside San Benito.
Cameron County Sheriff TMs Department deputies were called out to FM 510 and FM 803 around 10 a.m. Thursday.
It TMs not clear how the 8 to 10 foot reptile got there but deputies found out in plain sight.
Deputies and Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) game wardens wrestled with the aligator and captured it.
The large reptile will be relocated to a new home and away from people.
