Details emerge about Alton double-homicide victims

Action 4 News has learned that one of the two victims in a fatal double-homicide north of Alton had an extensive criminal history.
Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies were called out to Moorefield Road and 8 1/2 Mile Line north of Alton around 5:30 a.m. Monday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that two bodies were found inside a bullet-riddled black Chevrolet pickup truck.
Deputies identified one of the alleged victims as 29-year-old Benjamin Soto while the other men is believed to be a Honduran national.
A motive has not been determined for the crime but investigators said Soto had an extensive criminal history.
Deputies said that criminal history included deadly conduct, aggravated assault, possession of marijuana, evading arrest, attempted capital murder, murder, delivery of marijuana and money laundering among other crimes.
Investigators told Action 4 News that they believe the Honduran man was working for Soto.
