Detention officer confesses to selling crack cocaine

A Starr County detention officer under investigation for selling crack cocaine is fired.

A tipster called the sheriff's department Thursday claiming Noe Rivera was at a well-known crack house in the area.

Starr County Sheriff deputies raided the area, but did catch their own jailer in the act.

Rivera was finally arrested last night on drug charges, and 'confessed' to selling crack cocaine.

Sheriff Rene Fuentes told Action 4 News "he was let go immediately."

Rivera has only been with the Starr County Sheriff's Department since January 13, 2013.
