Detroit teen charged for placing Brownsville school under lockdown

A Detroit teen is facing criminal charges after he allegedly called in a threat to a student at a high school in Brownsville.

According to Brownsville ISD officials, the Detroit teen called in the threats directed at a female at Veterans High School on Monday.

Investigators said the two teens met through social media.

The campus was placed on a soft lockdown around 12 p.m. Monday after the threatening calls were made to the school.

Brownsville ISD officials said the teen was identified after his calls were traced.

The teen suspect TMs name is not being released at this time.
