Donna family living in tent gets relief from the cold weather

A Donna area family who's sleeping in a tent won't be suffering outdoors in the cold for the next few night thanks to the generosity of Action 4 News viewers.
Action 4 News first introduced the Almaraz family on Friday.
They were left homeless last Tuesday after their mobile home was repossessed.
Jose Almaraz, father of 5, says he couldn't keep up with payments while in the hospital.
Action 4 News viewers have been donating money, food and building supplies ever since the story aired.
One person even paid for the family with 3 kids ages 13, 11 and 5, to stay in a hotel room for 3 nights while temperatures dip across the Rio Grande Valley.
Maria Almaraz, mother, says she's been overwhelmed with joy because of all the kindness from strangers.
"I wants to thank God for allowing us to be here and receive this money and to all the people that wrote in and helped," she told Action 4's Ryan Wolf. "I also want to thank somebody that came by yesterday and paid for 3 nights in a hotel so we wouldn't have to be going through the cold these days."
You can take action for the family.
Monetary donations can be made at any Chase bank under the account name "Jose Angel Almaraz Garcia" #3072570558
Building supplies and other donations can be dropped off at their property north of Donna on 206 Liam Street.
