Donna ISD superintendent resigns
Donna Independent School District Superintendent Fernando Castillo resigned Tuesday night.
After nearly two hours in executive session, the Donna ISD school board voted in favor of Castillo's resignation.
Castillo's position was brought into question after a forensic audit was conducted on the district. He was placed on administrative leave in December.
Castillo will continue to serve as superintendent through June 30 and then will retire, according to a copy of Castillo's resignation agreement obtained by CBS 4 News.
