Driver arrested for using police-like siren in traffic

      A Brownsville man is charged with impersonating a public servant for allegedly using a siren to get other drivers to move out of his way.

      According to investigators they received complaints the driver, who was in a Chrysler 300, was setting off the siren near Jaime Zapata Road and Robindale.

      Officers later spotted the driver at the WalMart off Boca Chica and pulled him over.

      Police say they found a siren behind the front grill of 23-year-old Jose Mora's car.

      There was also a control box for the siren found under the steering wheel.

      Mora told police that his friend was driving the car earlier and was the one who had activated the siren.

      Mora was arrested. Bond was set at $10,000.
