Driver identified in crash that killed five on Highway 100

Action 4 News has confirmed the identity of the woman who was driving the Toyota Rav4 in Sunday TMs deadly Highway 100 accident.

Margaret Gil is in stable condition at a San Antonio Hospital.

The 32-year-old broke her leg in the accident, according to Texas DPS officials.

She drove head-on into a Toyota Corolla on a section of the highway near Los Fresnos.

All four passengers in the Toyota Corolla, 32-year-old Edward Gomez, 30-year-old Erika Olaya Davila, 13-year-old Julexy Alvarez and 3-year-old Kamilla Isabel Gomez were all killed at the scene.

Gil TMs passenger in the Toyota Rav4, Carmela Sanchez, died while being transported to the hospital.

Pending toxicology results, Gil could face five counts of intoxication manslaughter.
