Duo arrested for stealing Dallas Cowboys jerseys

Rose Marie Gallegos // Harlingen Police Department

A San Benito man and a Harlingen woman are behind bars after allegedly stealing from the Kohl TMs Department Store in Harlingen.

Rose Marie Gallegos and Roberto Garcia allegedly took four Dallas Cowboys jerseys valued at $400.000 without paying for them.

They were placed under arrest by the Harlingen Police Department.

Garcia TMs record showed he had five previous theft convictions, which enhanced his Class A Misdemeanor charge to a state jail felony.

Earlier this week, he allegedly committed a felony theft at the Home Depot after taking a Milwaukee tool kit from the store.

Garcia TMs charges include two counts of theft, which was upgraded to a state jail felony after being previously convicted of theft.

His bond was set at $30,000.

Gallegos was booked on a Class A Misdemeanor and her bond was set at $4,000.
