After an Edcouch man turned himself into police over indecency charges, his family is speaking out.
Although Daniel Campos turned himself over to authorities last week his family is calling the accusations a vendetta.
This situation is unfair and unjust," Daniel TMs sister Christina Campos said.
Daniel turned himself in last week to Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office after a woman accused him of inappropriately touched her three young daughters.
Christina said those allegations couldn't be further than the truth and claims the woman is getting back at him following a failed relationship.
"He is fighting allegations, Christina said. There is a due process that has to be done and unfortuantely that means he does have to turn himslef in to court."
Christina said what is most upsetting about the claims, the Campos family did a lot to support the woman and her three daughters.
"Him [Daniel] and other people who face these kind of situation have a right to be preserved as innocent proior to going to court, Christina said. We are going to fight for this freedom and clear his name."
While Campos has never before been charged for sexual misdeeds he was charged with harrassment in 2001.
Campos was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
