Home used as 8-liner arcade in Edinburg

Authorities raided a home in Edinburg after police learned it was operating as an 8-liner arcade.

Officers raided a home on the 2500 block of West Rogers Road around 8 p.m. Wednesday night.

Investigators told Action 4 News police obtained a search warrant after receiving a tip about illegal gambling activity at the home.

Once inside, police said they found 48 eight-liner machines and arrested three people.

The three people are now facing charges of gambling and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Edinburg police said an arraignment is scheduled for Friday.

There were at least 13 patrons inside the establishment at the time.

Officers cited all 13 patrons for gambling, which is a Class C misdemeanor.
