Edinburg police have released the identity of a man they are looking for in connection to a home invasion on Saturday.
Investigators say Mario Lamas, is one of two men who burst into a home off the 1400 block of West Carmen Avenue and demanded money from the home owners.
The three victims were held up at gun point, but were able to get the gun away from the suspects, who quickly fled.
The victims called police and gave them the gun.
However, after police left, investigators say Lamas and his accomplice returned to the home asking for the gun.
The victim quickly called police who swiftly arrived.
Investigators say Lamas drove off leading police on a high speed chase through the city, before crashing on the 400 block of West FM 2812.
Lamas, who police say was driving, was able to get away.
His accomplice, who has not been identified was thrown from the vehicle.
He remains hospitalized with minor injuries.
