Edinburg teen arrested for child pornography

An Edinburg teenage boy is arrested after state authorities find over 50 images of child pornography on his social networking site.According to state court documents on September 22, 2010 the Texas Attorney General's Office received a possible child pornography case from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.In the report it states a cybertip came in from a website called ""."Ning" is a social networking site that allows users to post pictures and comments.According to "Ning" one of its users uploaded 54 images of suspected child pornography to the site.The user was registered as "boyfinder18" and court documents state the user's page had sexual explicit photos of minors, some as young as 5 years old.Authorities tracked down "boyfinder18" I.P. Address to a home in Edinburg.According to the affidavit officers arrived to a home on 2516 Garza Street in Edinburg looking for child pornography.Apparently they found what they were looking for when they arrested 18 year old Andrew Ruiz.Although there are no specifics as to what investigators found inside the home an arrest report from the Hidalgo County Sheriff TMs Department shows Ruiz was arrested on February 8th for possession of child pornography.Neighbors Action 4 spoke to say they are in shock.Several in the area said they've never had a problem with Ruiz and his family and can TMt believe the accusations.Ruiz TMs neighbors said he TMs an altar boy at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Edinburg.Church officials weren't immediately available for comment.Texas Attorney General Officials said they are still investigating the case.Ruiz's bond was set at 5,000 dollars and was released Wednesday from the Hidalgo County Jail.
