Three members of the same family are behind bars after they were allegedly found $226,000 dollars worth of cocaine hidden under their clothes.

It all happened at the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge on Wednesday.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers told Action 4 News that a Reynosa man drove up in a Ford Lobo truck with his wife and adult son.

Customs officers sent their pickup truck to secondary inspection where authorities allegedly found three packages with 7.06 pounds of cocaine hidden under their clothes.

Authorities believe the drugs are worth about $225,920 dollars on the streets.

Customs officers turned the 59-year-old Reynosa man, his 56-year-old wife and their 30-year-old from Rio Bravo over the U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents for further questioning.
