Family continues to search for former State Rep with Alzheimer's

The Harlingen family of a former state representative suffering from Alzheimer TMs continues searching for him after he disappeared from a care facility on Thursday.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has used helicopters to look for 79-year-old Don Lee in Cotton Wood Estate and the Arroyo Colorado Area.

Harlingen police are helping out with the search as well.

The family is still looking around the Arroyo trail and Canterbury Court, where he was admitted as a resident on Monday.

DPS said no silver alert has been issued yet.

People that recognized Don from a missing person TMs flyer said they had seen him yesterday afternoon at a liquor store along Ed Carey drive, about a mile away from Canterbury Court.

Don Lee was last seen wearing a blue-ish gray shirt, with blue jeans and black shoes. He is about 5 TM5 and weighs 140 pounds. Any information on his whereabouts, call Harlingen police at 215-5400.
