A 30-year-old Harlingen home destroyed by a blazing fire nearly two weeks ago will be completely taken down on Wednesday.

The Dec. 28 blaze left three female family members in critical condition.

On Monday, 62-year-old Blanca Cruz died from her injuries. The other two women, Cruz's daughter and granddaughter, remain on life support at a San Antonio hospital.

"Every day is getting harder and harder," said Daisy Cruz, one of Blanca's seven daughters.

Daisy Cruz and her sisters traveled from Ohio after they heard the tragic news. They continue to monitor their disabled sister and niece's condition at ICU in San Antonio.

Although the family had a rocky start to the New Year, Daisy said they're hopeful they will get through the tragedy together.
