Marijuana shrink wrap operation shut down in Palmview

Three people are behind bars after authorities shut down a marijuana shrink-wrap operation in Palmview.

U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents arrested Gregorio Rodriguez-Adame, Juanita Adriana Navarro and Manuel Navarro-Gonzalez on federal drug charges.

HSI agents and Palmview police raided a home at 705 S. Bentsen Palm Dr. on Wednesday afternoon.

Federal court records show that investigators had received a tip about illegal activity at the home.

Investigators searched the house and found 107 bundles with 2,853 pounds of marijuana inside the home.

Court records show that investigators also found plastic-wrap and several gallons of grease, which is used to mask the scent of drugs during smuggling.
