Felons trade marijuana for guns with the wrong person

Two convicted felons were busted after being accused of trying to trade five pounds of marijuana for pistols.
Miguel Angel Diaz and Fabian Guerra were arrested in connection to the crime last month.
A criminal complaint said the two were busted by an undercover agent.
Guerra is accused of telling the agent he wanted to trade some marijuana for the weapons.
Guerra then met with the agent the next day and told him he only had two and a half pounds of the marijuana, and Diaz had the rest.
Diaz then met with he undercover agent at a Target on Ware Road and Nolana Loop in McAllen.
Diaz then allegedly picked up the .9mm pistol from the undercover agent, and he was arrested.
Guerra then exchanged marijuana for a .45 caliber pistol at Los Pinos Hardware Store in Mission, according to documents.
It is illegal for convicted felons to be in possession of firearms.
Diaz was previously convicted of burglary of a habitation and Guerra of DWI 3rd or more.
Their bonds were set at $30,000 each.
Guerra and Diaz will appear before Magistrate Judge Dorina Ramos at 11:00 a.m. on May 22nd.
