Fill A Bus a success

Logan Alcala with "Change for Teens" helps Fill A Bus

As summer vacation comes to end, students across the Rio Grande Valley may be attending school without the basic supplies needed in the classroom. Action 4 News along with Frank Smith Toyota and School Tools are looking to break the cycle by collecting school supply donations to help disadvantaged students start this school year right. From sunrise to sunset, donations from across the Valley came in and will help children start school with pens, pencils, books, crayons and more. The 12-Hour operation has been hailed a huge success thanks to our sponsors and volunteers like Logan Alcala with the non-profit organization Change for Teens dedicated to teach students in colonias the importance of education and healthy living. Action 4 News would like to thank all of our volunteers and our sponsors Frank Smith Toyota, Driscoll Health Plan, Mattress Firm, Cinemark Movie Bistro, Attorney Rene Castellanos, Pappadeaux Seafood Restaurant and AT&T.
