A former Willacy County District Attorney is behind bars after he failed to appear in court to represent his client in court.
Kenedy County District Attorney's Office investigators arrested Juan Angel Guerra on Thursday.
Guerra is charged with a 3rd-degree felony writ of attachment after failing to appear at a hearing for a lawsuit.
Court records show that case is is civil forfeiture lawsuit filed in the 404th State District Court back in July 2009.
Guerra is in custody without bond at the Cameron County Jail but is expected to appear before Judge Elia Cornejo-Lopez.
