Fugitive Finder: Zetas hitman captured in Reynosa
Joseph Allen Garcia, an alleged hitman for the Zetas, was captured in Reynosa, Mexico Thursday night.
Garcia was wanted for murder, manslaughter, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, failure to appear and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
In December of 2003, Garcia and two buddies allegedly traveled to Laredo to fight with another group of guys.
Garcia reportedly pulled out an AK-47 assault rifle and opened fire on the group, killing 18-year-old Mario Gonzalez and injuring three others.
Then in August of 2004, he allegedly shot and wounded another young man after an argument.
Garcia was scheduled to appear in court in March of 2005, but he was a no-show and authorities have been looking for him ever since.
Garcia is known to be associated with the Mexican Mafia and is believed to be involved in the drug trade.
Garcia was featured twice on Action 4's Fugitive Finder and America's Most Wanted. He also topped the nation's top 15 list.
Garcia was being held in the Hidalgo County jail.
He's now en route to Webb County where he will face multiple charges including murder.
