A Harlingen resident was arrested this morning after Harlingen police put his robbery spree to an end.
The armed robber allegedly robbed multiple businesses including GameStop and EZ Money.
The Harlingen Police Department first tracked down the suspected armed robber's girlfriend.
She was arrested for traffic violations and $300 believed to have been stolen from the businesses was found in her diaper bag.
On Saturday, June 8, police and investigators were able to locate the suspect at Palace Inn located off of 77 Sunshine Strip in Harlingen and arrested him around 6:15 a.m.
Even though he used two different vehicles during his robbery spree, investigators were able to identify him based off of video surveillance.
The suspect has a prior robbery record and Harlingen investigators were able to recognize him resulting in the arrest.
He allegedly used a knife to rob EZ Money located on the 1700 block of West Tyler in Harlingen where he got away with approximately $100 on Wednesday.
Later that day, he robbed GameStop off Lincoln in Harlingen at gunpoint where he took off with another $100.
Police believe he is connected to other robberies in the area and are working with other departments on the charges.
