Girl rushed to hospital after face covered in gasoline

Authorities are investigating an incident where gasoline covered a girl TMs face at a Stripes convenience store.

Weslaco police told Action 4 News that gasoline covered the face of a nine-year-old girl at 1919 W. Business 83 just after 5 p.m. Monday.

Authorities said paramedics rushed the little girl to the nearby Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco for treatment.

Details were not released at the time and the cause of the incident is not known at this time.
