Gunfire reported during botched Las Milpas home invasion

Authorities are investigating a botched home invasion where a person of interested ended up in the hospital with a gunshot wound.

It all happened at a home on the 6900 block of Leyva Street in the Las Milpas area of Pharr around 12:43 a.m. Monday.

Pharr police told Action 4 News that gunmen forced their way into the home.

Gunfire was reported inside the home.

The suspects fled the scene in a red Chevrolet truck and a black passenger vehicle.

Nobody inside the home was hurt but police reported a person of interest ended up in a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
