      Gunman remains at large in McAllen smoke shop shooting

      Authorities have made four arrests in connection to a shooting at a McAllen smoke shop but the actual gunman remains at large.

      The Sunday night shooting left one man injured on the 6600 block of North 10th Street in McAllen.

      Paramedics rushed the shooting victim to a local hospital where he underwent life-saving surgery.

      A motive is not clear but McAllen police arrested four people on tampering with evidence charges in connection to the investigation:

      Juanita Portales, 59 Ernesto Elizondo III, 19 Rolando Martinez Jr, 22 Amanda Rutledge, 25

      Juanita Portales is also facing drug charges for having methamphetamines, marijuana and Xanax pills without a prescription.

      McAllen police told Action 4 News that officers are still looking for the gunman, who was identified as Jorge Isaac Portales.

      Jorge Isaac Portales is described as a 38-year-old Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes who is about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 190 pounds.
