Thunderstorms and hail rolled through Harlingen and the southwest corner of Cameron County.
The storms erupted just right around 5 p.m. Saturday ending almost as quickly as they started.
Viewers reported hail ranging from pea-sized to nickel-sized stones falling through the area.
Hail stones were seen near the Expressway 77/83 interchange, off Stuart Place Road and along the Bass Boulevard corridor.
Motorists after of their cars getting hail damage took refuge under gas station pump awnings and highway overpasses.
The storms and the hail ended around 5:30 p.m. as the storm moved towards Mexico.
