A man suspected of murdering a woman in Hargill has been arrested in Illinois.
Authorities are in the process of extraditing Jose Juan Sanchez back to the Rio Grande Valley to face charges.
Sanchez was arrested Thursday as he walked out of a home near Chicago.
U.S. Marshals worked with the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Homicide Unit to track Sanchez down.
He is wanted for the murder of Laura Reyes.
FBI agents are working with the sheriff's office to conduct forensic testing.
Sanchez's alleged accomplice, Ernesto Castillo, is jailed in Hidalgo County.
