Season tickets for the Harlingen Cardinals football games go on sale first thing on Tuesday morning but eager fans already started camping out on Monday morning.
Dozens of high school football fans descended on the J. Gordon Nix Support Center off East Harrison Avenue and North 9th Street.
In a line that stretched around the building, the Cardinals fans came prepared bringing with them folding chairs, food, ice chests and canopies.
Cardinals fan Morgan Levine brought digital television to help pass the time.
"I'm going to be watching Channel 4," Levine said.
Former Cardinals football player Ryan Medrano was also among those in line.
Medrano said he has high expectations for the Cardinals in the 2012 season.
The team was undefeated in the 2011 high school football season and advanced to the fourth round of the playoffs.
Medrano said he has faith in the new team and its Coach Manny Gomez.
"He runs it like the NFL," Medrano said about Coach Gomez.
