A Harlingen man accused of raping two young girls back in October 2010 is now behind bars after being located in neighboring Willacy County.
Willacy County Sheriff TMs Department deputies arrested 22-year-old Christopher Vasquez on an outstanding warrant early Thursday morning.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Vasquez is accused of raping a 10-year-old girl and her 6-year-old cousin back on October 1st, 2010.
Detectives learned Vasquez was in Willacy County where deputies were able to locate and arrest him.
Police charged Vasquez with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Vasquez appeared before a Harlingen municipal judge on Thursday morning where he was issued $850,000 dollars in bonds.
