Harlingen girl goes missing while jogging in Corpus Christi

Authorities are searching for a missing Harlingen girl after she went missing while going jogging in Corpus Christi.

The family of 12-year-old Cameron "CJ" Hernandez turned to Action 4 News for help on our Facebook page.

KRIS-TV in Corpus Christi reported that Hernandez went missing on on the 4100 block of Brett Street around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Hernandez's mother told police that her daughter went for a jog inside an apartment complex never returned home.

The family recently moved from Harlingen to Corpus Christi.

Hernandez is described as a Hispanic female about 5 feet 1 inch tall weighing 100 pounds with dyed red hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a white tank top shirt, silver basketball shorts, black Nike running shoes, and a camouflaged Camelback water carrier.

The 12-year-old girl is enrolled in 6th grade at Tom Browne Middle School in Corpus Christi.
