One of four suspects accused in kidnapping a man outside a Harlingen fast food restaurant is now accused of molesting a little girl in Brownsville.

Harlingen police arrested Hector Primitivo Salinas back on March 9th following an armed kidnapping outside a McDonalds on the city's westside.

Salinas and three other men remain in custody at the Cameron County Jail for their roles in the plot.

Court records show the kidnapping schemed stemmed from a plan to make up for a lost drug load belonging to the Gulf Cartel.

But Brownsville police revealed on Monday that Salinas is wanted on a new criminal charge in their city.

Investigators told Action 4 News that Salinas is accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl in Brownsville.

Police said the girl came forward with the allegations back on February 29th when she told a school counselor what had happened.

Investigators are not releasing information about the girl to protect her identity.

Authorities formally charged Salinas for indecency with a child by contact on Friday morning. He remains in custody in the Cameron County Jail.
