A Harlingen man is behind bars after being accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy.
The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force arrested Humberto Rodriguez on Wednesday afternoon.
Harlingen police said the 38-year-old man is accused of molesting a 14-year-old boy.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the boy came forward with allegations back in January.
The boy told police that Rodriguez sexually abused him at least five times over the past two years.
The investigation ended with Rodriguez being charged with sexual assault of a child.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of sexual abuse but police confirmed Rodriguez had access to the boy through his family.
Rodriguez appeared before a Harlingen Municipal Court on Thursday morning where he was issued a $50,000 bond.
