A guy gets pulled over on his bicycle with a big load of candy.
Is that illegal? Only when you steal it.
Harlingen police said that's what 31-year-old Tony Lee French did early Tuesday morning.
He was stopped on his bike at F Street and the frontage road of U.S. Expressway 77/83.
It turns out a concession stand at Victor Park, owned by the Harlingen Youth League, had been broken into.
Inside, officers found empty candy boxes and empty hot dog boxes.
French is charged with burglary of a building and unlawful use of criminal instrument.
A Harlingen municipal judge set bond for French at $13,000 dollars.
