      Harlingen man headed to trial for estranged wife's murder

      A Harlingen man is expected to go to trial next week for killing his estranged wife, their unborn child and another man.

      Omar Montemayor appeared before Judge Migdalia Lopez in the 197th State District Court in Brownsville on Friday morning.

      Fcing two counts of capital murder and one count of manslaughter, is now expected to go to trial on Tuesday.

      Harlingen police alleged Montemayor broke into his estranged wife Sarah Maxwell Montemayor's home through a window.

      Montemayor is accused of shootfired shots at Sarah and 28-year-old Devan Haynes to death.

      The Harlingen man then turned the gun to his head and fired a single shot.

      Montemayor's suicide attempt failed and he now being held under $6 million dollars in bonds.
