Harlingen school district launches survey to get feedback from community
In the last year of its four-year strategic plan, Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District launched a Strategic Plan Survey to get feedback from parents and students.
The survey asks questions focusing on educational subjects that matter most to the community, as well as enhancing educational experiences for each grade level.
HCISD’s Administrator for Organization Development Veronica Kortan says asking these types of questions will eventually meet the needs of students.
"When we capture a student's attention and really develop their passion, that's a successful school district, and really that's what we're wanting to do," Kortan said.
"I think that's a great opportunity for them to already learn a trade and when they graduate they can go into the workforce," said Harlingen resident Julie Gonzalez.
