Harlingen woman kissed while asleep by alleged burglar

A Harlingen women gets a rude awakening after a man crawls in through her bedroom window.

According to Harlingen police, Jose De Jesus Villalobos, managed to get inside the home off the 2700 block of East Harrison Avenue around 1:30a.m. on Wednesday, through a partially opened window.

Once inside, police say he went up to the 32 year old female victim and kissed her on the face, causing her to wake up.

She yelled and Villalobos ran out of the house.

The victim told police she feared for her safety and that of her seven children in the house.

Villalobos was found walking down an alley near 27th Street and East Jackson Street.

He was charged with Burglary of habitation with intent to commit other felony.

Villalobos appeared before a Harlingen municipal judge on Friday morning where he issued a $50,000 dollar bond.
