A Harlingen woman was arrested on Thursday after getting caught spending over $700 with a man TMs credit card.
Lydia C. Partain was caught at a Walgreens on the 1400 block of E. Tyler Ave when she was attempting to make her seventh credit card transaction.
A 49-year-old man called Harlingen police to report the credit card abuse.
Harlingen police monitored the Walgreens surveillance footage which showed Partain dropping off a prescription at the pharmacy at around 12:20 p.m. on Thursday.
Between that time and 2 p.m. that day, Partain used the card to make $741.83 worth of unauthorized transactions at various businesses in Harlingen.
As Partain was returning to Walgreens to pick up the prescription, Harlingen police stopped her in the parking lot.
Inside her car, they found merchandise and receipts linking her to the credit card abuse.
The 38-year-old was placed under arrest for six counts of Credit/Debit Card Abuse, a state jail felony, and transported to city jail.
Partain was arraigned on Friday. Her bond was set at $10,000 for each count of credit card abuse, totaling $60,000.
